Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of these terms

NEURAL CHESS is a mobile game operated by its developer (“NEURAL CHESS”, “we”, “us”, “our”).

By downloading, accessing, or playing NEURAL CHESS — through our game client, this website, or any related online service (together, the “Game”) — you agree to these Terms of Service and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Game.

2. The Game is free — for now, entirely

NEURAL CHESS is currently provided free of charge, with no real-money purchases of any kind. We may introduce optional in-app purchases in the future (for example cosmetic items or progression boosts). If we do, purchases will be optional, processed through the app store you use, clearly priced before you buy, and generally non-refundable except as required by law or the store's refund policy. We will update these Terms before any purchases go live.

3. Your game data & anonymous identity

The Game does not use accounts. Your progress is tied to an anonymous identifier generated on your device (see the Privacy Policy). You are responsible for the device you play on; if the identifier is deleted (for example by uninstalling the Game or wiping the device), we may be unable to restore your progress. You confirm that you are at least 13 years old (or the minimum age required in your country).

4. Fair play & acceptable use

NEURAL CHESS is a competitive game whose matches are verified server-side. You agree not to:

• cheat, hack, exploit, or use unauthorized third-party software or modifications that affect gameplay, match results, or the in-game economy;
• tamper with, forge, or replay match traces, deck snapshots, or any data submitted to our servers;
• disrupt, overload, or attack the servers, the opponent-matching system, or other players;
• interfere with the Game's normal operation, or attempt to access identifiers, systems, or data that are not yours;
• use the Game for any unlawful purpose.

Match results that fail server verification may be rejected, and we may suspend or block an identifier from the online services for any violation of these rules, at our discretion.

5. License & intellectual property

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download and play the Game for your personal, non-commercial entertainment, subject to these Terms. The NEURAL CHESS name, logo, art, Bots, and branding are owned by us or our licensors. All in-game currencies, cards, and items are licensed, not sold: they have no real-world value and cannot be transferred or redeemed for money.

6. Changes to and availability of the Game

We may add, change, rebalance, suspend, limit, or discontinue any part of the Game — including Bots, features, the online services, or the Game as a whole — at any time and without liability to you. We do not guarantee that the Game or its online features will always be available or uninterrupted.

7. Disclaimer of warranties

THE GAME AND ALL RELATED SERVICES ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE,” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE GAME WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, TIMELY, SECURE, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF HARMFUL COMPONENTS, OR THAT ANY DATA WILL BE PRESERVED.

8. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, NEURAL CHESS AND ITS CONTRIBUTORS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, REVENUE, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO YOUR USE OF — OR INABILITY TO USE — THE GAME, WHETHER BASED ON WARRANTY, CONTRACT, TORT, OR ANY OTHER LEGAL THEORY, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATING TO THE GAME WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US TO USE THE GAME IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM (CURRENTLY ZERO) OR USD $50.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or the limitation of certain damages, so some of the above may not apply to you. In that case, our liability is limited to the greatest extent permitted by law.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access to the Game or its online services at any time, with or without cause and with or without notice, including for any violation of these Terms. You may stop using the Game at any time, and may request deletion of your server-side data by contacting support@neuralchess.gg. Sections that by their nature should survive termination — including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and governing law — will survive.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the State of Delaware, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. You agree that the state and federal courts located in Delaware will have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Game, except where applicable law gives you the right to bring a claim elsewhere.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above, and for material changes we will provide a more prominent notice. Continuing to use the Game after a change takes effect means you accept the updated Terms.
